A professional English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the killing fields of Choeung Ek Genocide Center – 9 miles away south of Phnom Penh. The infamous killing fields have a bloody history. Once an orchard and a Chinese cemetery, the Khmer Rouge, lead by Pol Pot, turned the place into what became known as the killing fields, where they executed around 2.000 prisoners. Over three years, they massacred and buried 2.5 million people. After remembering the dead, return to Phnom Penh to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Meaning hill of the poisonous trees, Pol Pot turned a once popular high school into a high security prison. 20,000 people were imprisoned there, many of whom were tortured for information. Today it serves as a museum and a reminder of darker days. Your guide will return you to your hotel or guesthouse. you could ask any question tour tour guide

The tour to see the killing fields and Genocide Museum with our guide Cheath was a must-see experience if you are visiting Phnom Penh. You can't understand Cambodia's recent history without these two excursions. Cheath was knowledge and thoughtful while explaining things. Don't miss out on this experience. Sure, it's a dark period in Cambodia's history, but a necessary one to learn about. Cheath was a terrific guide!

Thought provoking tour with a exceptional guide. Also they were very generous with water which is not common for this type of trip.

A heartbreaking page in the history of Cambodia. Incredibly well told by our wonderful guide Cheath. Cheath did a great job at guiding us through the Killing Fields and S21 museum, and was able to share so much of his knowledge. I am very grateful. Thank you Cheath!

Very interesting tour which was made better by the experience and passion of our guide. Whilst this is a sad part of Cambodian history it was important to be fully informed of the facts to have a full understanding

Very informative with Cheath for the tour today. Do recommend a tour for ease with Hotel transport etc. Horrible atrocities like this should be seen by everyone to prevent it ever happening again.

Our guide Baboon is very knowledgeable with a sense of humour. The tour length is just right. You get all the information you need. Of course you can visit the sites on your own but if you are short of time and want the convenience of a tour, this should be your choice.

Highly recommend this tour if you're in Phnom Penh - our guide, Cheath, was very attentive from within 5 minutes of making the booking and was a wonderful guide on the day. It was emotional and eye opening to see the lack of humanity the Cambodian people have experienced not so long ago - it's a wonder that they are so kind and humble despite the atrocities their families faced. Thank you Cheath!
